Apple iPad Screen Repair in Brisbane

An iPad is essentially a giant sheet of glass housed in a thin aluminum frame. When dropped, the frame often bends inward, shattering the digitizer or destroying the LCD underneath. At iRepair Experts, we don't just replace the glass—we carefully reshape dented corners and apply factory-grade adhesive to ensure your iPad looks and feels brand new.

iPad screen repairs typically range from $129 for standard models with non-laminated glass, up to $499 for the advanced liquid retina displays on the iPad Pro. We physically inspect your device first, run a free diagnostic, and give you a firm, upfront quote before we begin any work.

Common Damage Patterns

How iPads Actually Break

Because of their large surface area and thin aluminum bodies, iPads are prone to very specific types of damage.

Cause: The Corner Drop

Bent Aluminum Frames

When a heavy iPad lands on its corner, the soft aluminum dents inward. This pinches the glass, causing it to shatter. If a repair tech doesn't physically reshape that aluminum corner before installing the new screen, the glass will eventually pop out.

Typical Sign: Shattered glass starting from a dented corner.
Cause: Pressure Damage

LCD vs Digitizer Breaks

On basic iPads, the top glass (digitizer) is separate from the LCD picture underneath. If stepped on, you might just crack the glass. But on iPad Pros and Airs, the display is fully "laminated" (fused together), requiring a complete premium panel replacement.

Typical Sign: Black ink spots, lines, or ghost touch.
Cause: The Cord Yank

Broken Charging Ports

Kids often use iPads while they are plugged in. Resting the iPad on your lap while the cord is inserted puts massive strain on the internal pins. Over time, the Lightning or USB-C port bends, snaps, or stops holding the cable securely.

Typical Sign: Wiggle required to charge, or no charge at all.

How We Fix Your iPad

iPads use extreme industrial adhesive, not screws, to hold the screen down. We follow strict repair protocols to open and reseal them safely.

1
Safe Separation
We use specialized heat pads to soften the factory adhesive, allowing us to safely lift the shattered glass without tearing internal Wi-Fi antennas.
2
Frame & Sensor Work
We reshape any bent corners on the aluminum housing and carefully migrate your original Home Button/Face ID hardware to the new screen.
3
Reseal & Testing
We apply premium Tesa tape to lock the new screen in place, then test multi-touch responsiveness, brightness, and Apple Pencil compatibility.

Your Data is Safe With Us

We know it can feel stressful handing over your iPad, especially if it's used for work or holds family photos. Our technicians only access the basic settings required to test your new screen, cameras, and Touch/Face ID.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about iPad repairs across our Brisbane stores.

iPad screen repair pricing depends heavily on the model and generation. Basic models start around $129 for a glass replacement, while iPad Pro models with laminated liquid retina displays can range up to $499+. We will give you a firm quote after inspecting your device.

The biggest factor is whether your iPad has a "laminated" display (where the glass and LCD are glued together, like on Pros and Airs) or a "non-laminated" display (like standard 9th/10th gen models). Severe aluminum frame bends that require reshaping can also affect labor costs.

Unlike iPhones, iPads are held together with extremely strong adhesive. We use specialized heat pads to safely open them without tearing internal cables. Many standard screen repairs can be completed same-day, but heavily shattered models may require extra time for safe glass extraction and adhesive curing.

Yes. A lack of touch response means the digitizer layer is broken. On standard iPads, we replace the top glass/digitizer layer. On Pro models, we replace the entire display assembly to instantly restore touch functionality.

Yes. Our iPad repairs include a 12-month warranty on eligible parts and workmanship (terms apply). If you experience a defect with the new screen, just bring it back to us.
