What we collect

When you book a repair, walk into one of our stores, or contact us, we collect the minimum information needed to deliver the service:

  • Contact details — name, mobile number, email address.
  • Device details — make, model, serial/IMEI, repair history, fault description.
  • Service records — quotes, invoices, parts used, warranty claims.
  • Payment metadata — last-4 digits of card, transaction reference (we never store full card numbers; payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant providers).
  • Site analytics — anonymised pageviews, device type, referrer (no cross-site tracking).

We do not read messages, photos, or any data on devices you bring in for repair. Technicians only access what is strictly required to verify the fault.

02

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to deliver and improve our repair service:

  • Confirming bookings and sending status updates.
  • Notifying you when your device is ready for pickup.
  • Issuing receipts, invoices, and warranty records.
  • Responding to enquiries and warranty claims.
  • Internal reporting on aggregate repair turnaround times.

We never use your data to train AI models, build cross-site profiles, or sell to data brokers.

04

How we share information

We disclose personal information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers we rely on (SMS gateway, email delivery, cloud hosting, payment processing). They access only what is necessary and are contractually bound to protect it.
  • Manufacturers / authorised distributors when a part-level warranty claim is escalated.
  • Law enforcement if we receive a valid Australian court order or warrant.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not engage in targeted advertising.

05

Cookies & tracking

Our website uses a single first-party cookie to remember whether you've seen our cookie banner, plus anonymised usage analytics for performance monitoring. We do not run third-party advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or social-media tracking scripts.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting bookings.

06

How long we keep your data

Customer and repair records are retained for seven years in line with Australian tax and warranty requirements. After that, records are anonymised or securely deleted.

You can request earlier deletion at any time, subject to legal obligations (e.g. open warranty claims).

07

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct any inaccuracy.
  • Withdraw consent and request deletion (where permitted).
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.

08

How we secure your data

All web traffic uses TLS 1.3 encryption. Customer records are stored on encrypted Australian-based servers with role-based access. Staff complete privacy training and are bound by confidentiality clauses.

We follow industry-standard incident response procedures and will notify affected customers and the OAIC under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme if a serious breach occurs.

09

Children

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that we have done so, please contact us and we will delete the records promptly.

10

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in services or legal requirements. Material changes will be flagged on this page with the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
